The Keystone Federated Republican Women’s 2023 Essay Contest “Lesser Known Signers of the Declaration of Independence” is open for all Jefferson County Middle and High School aged students currently enrolled in public or private schools or homeschooled.

KFRW will recognize and award cash prizes to the top essayists in both middle school and high school as follows:
1st Place: Award Certificate and Cash Prize $300 (Increase from 2022)
2nd Place: Award Certificate and Cash Prize $200 (Increase from 2022)
3rd Place: Award Certificate and Cash Prize $100 (Increase from 2022)
2023 Essay Contest winners were announced at KFRW’S monthly meeting, March 27, 2023, by Gretchen Wallace, Community Outreach Chair. All essay contest participates received certificates and the winners were given cash awards. The two first place winners read their essays aloud afterwards.
