2024 KFRW Essay Contest

The Keystone Federated Republican Women’s 2024 Essay Contest “What on Earth Does God have to do with America’s Constitutional Republic?” is open for all Jefferson County middle and high school aged students currently enrolled in public or private schools or homeschooled.

KFRW will recognize all essayists with a participation certificate and award cash prizes to the top essayists in both middle school and high school as follows:

1st Place:     Award Certificate and Cash Prize $300
2nd Place:   Award Certificate and Cash Prize $200
3rd Place:   Award Certificate and Cash Prize $100

2024 Essay Contest winners were announced at KFRW’S monthly meeting, March 25, 2024, at the American Legion Post 49, 1065 S. Water Street, Monticello by Gretchen Wallace, Community Outreach Chair. All essay contest participants were awarded their certificates and cash awards along with readings of the winning essays by the two first place winners.

High School Student Winners:

1st Place – Belle Burrell – $300 cash prize
2nd Place – Genevieve Mediate – $200 cash prize

Middle School Student Winners:

1st Place – Corban Burrell – $300 cash prize
2nd Place – Lillian Burrell – $200 cash prize
3rd Place – Cody Jones – $100 cash prize
4th Place – Ansleigh Camper – $100 cash prize
